NEW GRAD RESIDENCY PROGRAM
What makes a nursing career at Tucson Medical Center different? Our support. We welcome new grads to join us in their first step towards a rewarding career as an RN. We make sure to provide our recent graduates with ample support so they never get lost in the mix.
Our New Grads take on a one year commitment to a specific unit and have a dedicated preceptor, manager, educator and team who are all there to provide the insight you need to flourish in your career.
Our New Grad Program is broken up in to 3 parts all geared towards minimizing stress and maximizing your confidence as an RN.
Part One:
We take you through a general clinical and hospital orientation and make sure you understand the benefits and responsibilities of a TMC employee.
Part Two:
You’ll become better acquainted with your unit and start taking part in your first shifts. During this time you will also attend weekly forums, skill labs, interdisciplinary experience and orientation specific to your department. You will also meet your preceptor during who will guide you through the remainder of your orientation during this phase.
Part Three:
Everything you have learned will be put into practice! You will make your full transition into the TMC nursing community.
