Telehealth services are additional modalities that care providers can utilize in order to deliver the most appropriate level of care to our patients in our local community and to our rural partners. This position will assist in the overall management and growth of Tucson Medical Center’s telehealth services across the organization and in the community.  This will include provider-to-provider services, direct to consumer services, organization to employer groups, as well as potentially other innovative services.


Works with ease with internal and external stakeholders and partners to promote utilization of telehealth services

Helps to promote telehealth services as another way to improve the coordination of care and efficient utilization of health care resources

Consults with rural and urban partners to determine and assess best ways to utilize telehealth solutions; able to assess clinical needs and requirements

Assists rural clinics and practices with finding resources and developing processes that make telehealth a successful solution

Works with aligned primary care providers to help assess, plan and implement most appropriate telehealth services that will improve quality, efficiency and satisfaction of care

Oversees provider-to-provider telehealth services between specialists at an originating site and the patient in a rural clinical site

Works with rural clinical sites and TMC IT Department to assure all technical requirements for telehealth are met and sustained

Identifies and works with employer groups in the community and rural areas to develop strategies that would promote utilization of telehealth services among their employee groups

Working collaboratively with community partners, identify ways to implement and integrate telehealth services in the community for improved access to care and best utilization of healthcare resources

Assists in enhancing and running day to day operations of telehealth applications including keeping current on telehealth regulations and informing key stakeholders as applicable

Remains current on reimbursement practices in order to assist clinical sites in billing processes

Supports partnering sites/organizations and care providers in the implementation of telehealth services; includes resource analysis and projections, licensure requirements, technical implementation, as well as training and education for any/all staff

Helps to ensure standardization of work and delivery of telehealth service between all distance sites and across all service types/modalities; develops consistent models that can be implemented in various clinical settings

Interacts with and acts as liaison between originating site providers and acts as liaison to rural end user sites

Develops and measures standard metrics for use in developing project plans for implementing improvements and monitoring new processes

Continually identifies new opportunities for utilization of telehealth services and works with TMC, rural hospital leadership and community partners to implement strategic initiatives

Utilizes LEAN practices to assure all telehealth services provided result in efficient patient and clinic flow

Analyzes data to help organization understand how telehealth services are being utilized, how they can be improved and what growth opportunities exist in which markets

Works with TMC Communication Department to develop new marketing materials for telehealth services

Works with Compliance and Legal team to assure accurate and relevant policies are in place

Adheres to TMC organizational and department-specific safety, confidentiality, values, policies and standards 

Adheres to and supports team members in exhibiting TMCH values of integrity, community, compassion and dedication.

Performs related duties as assigned


EDUCATION:  Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management or related healthcare field required.  

EXPERIENCE:  Four (4) years of progressively responsible experience in project management or logistics required, preferably in a healthcare setting. Experience in outpatient clinic operations required.


ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENT:  Due to insurance company requirements, incumbent must be 21 years of age or older in order to operate a company car.


  • Knowledge of project management and process improvement preferably in a healthcare environment

  • Knowledge of managing projects and coordinating several projects at one time

  • Knowledge about telemedicine billing and originating site reimbursement practices for Medicare, AHCCCS and commercial payers

  • Skill in working collaboratively and effectively across all levels of the organization

  • Ability to work effectively with many healthcare specialties effectively as a team leader and facilitator

  • Ability to be innovative and self-directed, with effective time management skills

  • Demonstrated skill in

  • Ability to develop and deliver presentations in PowerPoint and Word/Excel for customer and executive presentation

  • Ability to present information in a clear, concise and confident fashion to executives, end-users, specialist groups, physicians, and suppliers

  • Ability to speak effectively with leaders, doctors, nurses, staff and the general public.

  • Skill in both oral and written communications

  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.

  • Ability to complete routine reports and correspondence

  • Ability to listen and accurately interpret others’ communication or instructions to take appropriate action

  • Ability to communicate with positivity and effectiveness with patients, staff members, and with the general public

  • Ability to follow directions and protocols to carry out detailed written and verbal instructions

  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
