Supervises, evaluates, trains and guides assigned employees in the Transportation Department.
Exhibits excellence in customer service through appropriate attitude and interaction with visitors and staff.
Performs supervisory functions; prepares work schedules, assigns staff, observes performance to provide input to formal evaluations, and makes recommendations for personnel actions; assists in staff selection and provides training and orientation for employees.
Ensures compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.
Monitors and controls expenses within approved budget allocations.
Creates and maintains databases.
Investigates complaints and takes appropriate steps for resolution.
Evaluates difficult situations outside span of control and refers to management.
Develops and establishes operating policies consistent with overall policies and objectives and ensures their adequate execution.
Assists with transportation duties as needed.

Performs related duties as assigned.
EDUCATION: High school diploma or GED; or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
EXPERIENCE: Four (4) years of transportation experience; preferably in an acute care setting and in a lead or supervisory role.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENT: Must be 21 years of age or older in older to operate a company car, due to insurance company requirements.
LICENSURE OR CERTIFICATION: Current Heartsaver Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certificate. Valid AZ driver’s license.
