Supervises, evaluates, trains and guides Security Officers, Security Dispatchers, Crime Prevention Specialist and Security Technicians. Implements security policies and procedures at TMC HealthCare.
Exhibits excellence in customer service through appropriate attitude and interaction with visitors and staff.
Performs supervisory functions; prepares work schedules, assigns staff, observes performance to provide input to formal evaluations, and makes recommendations for personnel actions; assists in staff selection and provides training and orientation for employees.
Ensures compliance with applicable regulatory requirements. Inventories and orders all office supplies regularly.
Monitors and controls expenses within approved budget allocations.
Supervises the investigation of existing and proposed administrative systems and procedures; makes recommendations directed toward simplification improvement, and plans and coordinates their implementation.
Monitors security activities in assigned areas to ensure secure and safe conditions for employees, patients, and visitors, and to protect hospital buildings, assets, and premises; inspects work performance/assignments, and recommend improvements in work methods.
Initially investigates complaints, referring difficult situations to manager.
Adheres to and supports team members in exhibiting TMCH values of integrity, community, compassion, and dedication.
Adheres to TMCH organizational and department-specific safety and confidentiality policies and standards.
Performs related duties as assigned.
EDUCATION: High school diploma or GED; or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
EXPERIENCE: Four (4) years of security experience; preferably in an acute care setting and in a lead or supervisory role.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENT: Must be 21 years of age or older in order to operate a company car, due to insurance company requirements.
LICENSURE OR CERTIFICATION: Security License through Arizona Department of Public Safety and Valid AZ driver’s license.
