Revenue Cycle Data Analyst

SUMMARY:

A Revenue Cycle Data Analyst is responsible for analyzing and improving revenue cycle processes. A Revenue Cycle Data Analyst plays a crucial role in the financial health of healthcare organizations by managing, monitoring, and analyzing the revenue cycle.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Analyze incoming and outgoing revenue sources, identifying discrepancies, and ensuring accurate billing and collections.
• Collaborate with finance departments and healthcare providers to optimize revenue cycle processes and implement strategies to increase revenue.
• Create and maintain reports on revenue cycle performance, presenting findings to management, and suggest improvements.
• Create ad hoc reports on request and working closely with leadership to prepare weekly and monthly reports.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations regarding billing practices and financial transactions.
• Work closely with other revenue cycle and financial team members to enhance overall performance.
• Adheres to and supports team members in exhibiting TMCH values of integrity, community, compassion, and dedication. 
• Adheres to TMCH organizational and department-specific safety, confidentiality, values, policies, and standards.
•  Performs related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION:  Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics required.

EXPERIENCE:  Three (3) - Five (5) years of relevant experience in healthcare setting.

LICENSURE OR CERTIFICATION:  None required.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: 

·         Ability to interpret financial data and identify trends.

·         Exceptional attention to detail for identifying discrepancies in financial reports and patient accounts.

·         Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel

·         Strong attention to detail skills.

·         Strong problem-solving skills.
