Coordinates patient care planning with other disciplines utilizing the principles of the nursing process and critical thinking skills in order to maintain patient safety and well-being. (Some positions might be assigned to critical care areas requiring specialized training.)

Unit Information:

The Cath Lab Suite at TMC consists of five catheterization rooms  and two Hybrid rooms, including a state-of-the-art Stereotaxis Electrophysiology Suite. The Cath Lab team works closely with the physicians to perform cardiac, neuro-interventional radiology, structural heart (TAVR, MitraClip, and Watchman) and electrophysiology studies. The cath lab team consists of RNs, Special Procedure Technologists (ARRT), and Registered Cardiac invasive Specialists/Registered Cardiac electrophysiology specialists (RCIS/RCES). This area is staffed Monday through Saturday with weekend and night call to cover inpatients and emergencies.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION: Graduation from a qualified, nationally-accredited nursing program. 

EXPERIENCE: One year of nursing experience in an acute care setting. Preferred experience in Cath Lab, ICU, ED, Post Critical Care or PACU. 

LICENSURE OR CERTIFICATION: Current RN licensure permitting work in the State of Arizona and Current Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR). ACLS, PALS is preferred.
