SUMMARY:

Tucson Medical Center has launched (Travel Tucson), a Travel Nurse Program exclusive to TMC Healthcare and built to prioritize candidates desiring to have the best of both worlds – direct employment with one of the premier hospitals in the southwest plus the benefits of working as travel nurse. This program will offer premium pay to nurses seeking to come to Tucson for a 13 week assignment, or several, or to decide if they would like to take a full time position when their assignment ends. The Program Administrator (PA) will report directly to TMC Staffing Director and work in collaboration with our partners in this initiative. The PA will be dedicated to understanding our unique culture and business processes to meet clinical staffing needs.  They will professionally represent TMC Healthcare to the internal team, the external candidates and other staffing vendors by working closely with all to provide exceptional service.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Collaborate with Tucson Medical Center hiring managers to determine healthcare staffing needs and strategies to fill open positions by the system-owned travel program

Partner with internal staff to maintain strong relationships while communicating changes in hospital needs and requirements

Be onsite to effectively facilitate onboarding of travelers coming through the program

Maintain meticulous attention to detail while rounding with TMC department managers to understand the preferences and nuances of each clinical unit in order to communicate exact specifications to the fulfillment team

Intake of each new hire’s pertinent information, ensuring timely and accurate timekeeping and payroll

Respond to all program staffing requests, inquiries and concerns promptly with thoughtful and well informed solutions, setting realistic expectations and keeping TMC leaders fully informed throughout the process

Communicate issues or client process changes to senior management as needed

Demonstrate professional attitude and behavior at all times while maintaining the combined temperament and sense of urgency needed to execute the duties of this important role

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

 EDUCATION:  Bachelor’s degree preferred.

EXPERIENCE:  Four (4) years of experience in a similar position, with healthcare industry being strongly preferred

LICENSURE OR CERTIFICATION:  None required.
