Physical Therapy Aide - Pediatric Therapies
In addition to all of the mentioned essential functions, the Physical Therapy Aides in the outpatient setting will also assist with front desk receptionist duties, co-pay management, insurance verification, and patient scheduling as needed.

Exhibits excellence in customer service through appropriate attitude and interaction with visitors and staff.
Provides assistance to members of professional staff.
Applies therapeutic modalities under the direction of the physical therapist.
Prepares treatment areas, patients and equipment for treatments.
Obtains, cleans, and returns required equipment.
Provides personal care assistance to patients, including bathing, dressing, eating, bedpans and transportation; demonstrates sensitivity to patient comfort and privacy. (Inpatient only)
Escorts patient to physical therapy gym.
Maintains established levels of supplies including linens, assistive devices, and handouts.
Maintains adequate supplies and monitors expiration dates.
Performs related duties as assigned.
EDUCATION: High school diploma, or general education degree (GED), or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
EXPERIENCE: None required.
LICENSURE OR CERTIFICATION: Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR certification.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge of basic patient care best practices.
Skill in making patients feel comfortable by explaining what is going to happen and guiding them through their therapy process.
Ability to read, or listen and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to write simple correspondence.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers.
Ability to read a clock and accurately document time.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished inelectronic, oral, or diagram form.
Ability to solve problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
