Shift1 - Day Shift
Maintains network systems and services, ensures service levels are sustained, including servers, routers, switches, firewall, VPN, traffic QoS, VoIP, other IP devices, as well as all critical applications by installing, upgrading, configuring and troubleshooting as required. Assists in the formulation of specifications for network systems and services. Assists in the maintenance and upgrades of network systems to maintain them at appropriate release levels, specializing in one or more areas. Provides timely resolution of basic problems affecting the operation of network systems and services. Works with, or under the supervision or direction of, Senior and Lead Network Engineers to resolve complex problems.
Configures, tests, installs and supports network equipment including switches, routers and firewalls.
Installs, configures and provides basic support of network management systems.
Installs, configures and provides network support for a variety of network connected devices including wireless devices, medical devices and mobile devices.
Performs basic troubleshooting and repair for wired and wireless connectivity issues in a variety of hospital settings.
Completes work according to departmental standards, as described in the Statement of Work (SOW), Service Level Agreement (SLA), or project plans.
Works with Senior and Lead Network Engineers on tasks and projects, completing network configuration and installation tasks under supervision.
Creates and communicates status reports in accordance with department standards.
Adheres to and supports team members in exhibiting TMCH values of integrity, community, compassion, and dedication.

Performs related duties as assigned.
EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
EXPERIENCE: Three (3) years experience maintaining and supporting TCP/IP based networks using Cisco routers and switches. Must have good knowledge of advanced routing using EIGRP and other routing protocols. Must have good knowledge of switching, spanning-tree and VLAN trunking protocol implementation.
LICENSURE OR CERTIFICATION: Cisco CCNA Preferred. Other and/or industry standard network related certifications a plus.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge of network systems and services, including servers, routers, switches, firewall, VPN, traffic QoS, VoIP, other IP devices, as well as critical applications related to those devices.
Ability to understand complex network infrastructure design and to adhere to design and implementation standards.
Understand and comply with sound network design and maintenance processes and procedures.
Skill in installing, upgrading, configuring and troubleshooting network systems.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to inquiries or complaints from employees, patients and/or their representatives, and the general public.
Ability to work effectively with other teams and end users to solve problems.
Strong, positive communication skills, both verbal and written.
