Medical Floor Nurse Manager Northern Cochise Community Hospital
Northern Cochise Community Hospital, Inc., located in Willcox, AZ, is seeking a dedicated and
driven Medical Floor Nurse Manager to join our team in providing leadership in quality care.
NCCH provides health services as a 24-bed Critical Access Hospital with ancillary services,
visiting specialists, a 6 bed Level IV Trauma ER, and two off-site Rural Health Clinics.
The Medical Floor Nurse Manager will be responsible for oversight and management of the
Medical Floor at NCCH, to include inpatient and outpatient nursing services. This position will
ensure the Medical Floor is in compliance with goals, policies, procedures, and regulatory
requirements, and is responsible for effective and compassionate patient care on the Medical
Floor. The Medical Floor Nurse Manager will collaborate with clinical and non-clinical
departments to meet organizational and patient care needs.
? Oversees nursing care services essential to the assessment, promotion, maintenance and
restoration of patients' health and wellness.
? Evaluates activities of Medical Floor workflow to ensure patient care, quality, and efficiency.
? Responsible for maintaining, updating and implementing Medical Floor policies and procedures to
ensure compliance with CMS regulations.
? Coordinates Inpatient and Outpatient Services activities and work assignments of staff to include
creation of schedule & managing Time Off requests/ payroll activities to include overtime tacking.
? Responsible for the training and evaluation of nursing staff performance and competency.
? Collaborates with Infection Control Nurse on infection prevention measures and education.
? Works with Case Management on discharge planning, utilization review, and case management.
? Takes an active role and proactive participation in quality assessment and quality improvment activities/analysis, and other projects as assigned.
Education and/or Experience:
BSN from an accredited school of Nursing with a minimum of 4 years acute care nursing
experience, or RN from an accredited school of Nursing with 8 years acute care nursing
experience required. Recent supervisory experience required. Recent experience in a Critical
Access Hospital strongly preferred.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Current, unrestricted, Arizona Registered Nurse License. Current Basic Life Support (BLS), &
Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification (ACLS).
