SUMMARY:
Direct the administrative and clinical functions of a specialty pharmacy and outpatient clinic, providing leadership to teams responsible for patient medication fulfillment, prior authorizations, patient assistance programs, and clinical services. Duties encompass financial oversight, regulatory and standards compliance, operational workflow development and enhancement, fostering collaborative partnerships, and implementing strategies to support program expansion and optimize patient care.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Oversee specialty pharmacy workflows, handling medication fulfillment, prior authorizations, and patient financial assistance.
Leads the development and implementation of ambulatory clinical practice standards, medication use policies, and protocols to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Ensures that services adhere to established quality standards, fulfil contractual commitments, and comply with relevant laws, regulatory requirements, and accreditation criteria.
Evaluates opportunities for enhancement, formulates and executes strategic project plans for new initiatives or services, and oversees key performance indicators to ensure progress and effectiveness.
Oversee budget, evaluates financial performance, and develops strategies to optimize cost management, maximize revenue, and ensure effective allocation of resources.
Oversee the hiring, development, and management of clinical and support staff in the specialty pharmacy and ambulatory care environment.
Communicate effectively with administrators, healthcare providers and stakeholders to ensure program success.
Follows TMC Health safety, confidentiality, values, policies, and standards.
Complies with all relevant federal, state, and local laws and regulations governing pharmacy practice.
Performs other duties as assigned tasks.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION: Pharm. D., Master's or BS degree in Pharmacy from an AACP accredited College of Pharmacy required.
EXPERIENCE: Eight (8) years of pharmacy experience, including three (3) years of supervisory management background.
LICENSURE OR CERTIFICATION: A valid Pharmacist license in Arizona is required, along with Responsible Pharmacist licensure.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Comprehensive understanding of pharmacy operations.
- Familiarity with pharmacy payment methods and systems that facilitate efficient billing processes.
