Provides managerial oversight of Network Operations, Telecommunications, Server Systems, Interfaces and other related technology infrastructure. Overall supervisory responsibilities include technical, fiscal and personnel management within departmental budgets and staffing allocations. Managerial activity includes directing Network, Telecommunications, Server Systems and Interface Engineers (Entry, Senior and Lead) in engineering, design, implementation and change management practices. Assures that staff is technically competent in deployed technologies at all times. Participates with peers and management in technology lifecycle and architecture planning and support.

Assists in managing department budget.
Defines and implements methodologies to effectively manage and monitor technical infrastructure.
Assesses and implements adequate security controls and techniques to ensure integrity and availability of IT assets; ensures compliance with security-related regulations.
Provides leadership and establishes performance standards for System Services group; effectively monitors and meets such standards.
Develops plans and makes recommendations relative to departmental operations such as work distribution, staffing, resource utilization.
Consistently tracks budget performance, assesses risk, and promotes appropriate action to meet budgetary expectations.
Formulates appropriate capital budget requests to reflect business and technology requirements.
Develops short and long-term plans for deployment, convergence, and standardization of IT infrastructure.
Aligns technical systems plan with applications and business plans; proactively plans for technology obsolescence.
Effectively projects resource requirements and formulates viable tactical/project plans.
Tracks and understand IT trends and developments, management methodologies; effectively applies gained knowledge to meet overall enterprise objectives.
Establishes and maintains satisfactory customer relations with internal and external customers through direct or delegated contacts with representative individuals or groups.
Establishes and maintains effective relationships with vendors.
Provides leadership and maintains a standard discipline in Project Management.
Demonstrates effective IT skills and familiarity, such as basic functionality of the computer, PC File and Folder, Word, Excel, e-mail and attachment capabilities, Outlook, PowerPoint and presentation skills.
Performs related duties assigned.
EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or 4 years of direct supervisory and systems engineering experience.
EXPERIENCE: Five years related experience
