Provides assistance to the Office of General Counsel in preparing and organizing a wide array of documents, reports, claim and contracting management files. Assists the Office of General Counsel in collaborating with the Corporate Compliance Department.  Provides a variety of administrative and staff support services.  Coordinates, with outside counsel, the scheduling of interviews, depositions and discovery requests. Serves as administrative liaison with others within and outside TMC HealthCare.


Supports the Office of General Counsel staff in the completion of projects and performs duties as assigned.

Prepares letters, reports and memoranda from dictation or verbal direction; edits and corrects data on routine documents.

Format special reports and presentations, including tabular displays and graphics.

Establishes and maintains files and records on an ongoing basis so that information can be quickly retrieved; appropriately disposes of or archives files per legal and other requirements.

Posts data to various records and forms, makes and maintains charts, gathers data from various sources and prepare reports, answers and files correspondence and performs similar duties requiring the exercise of independent judgment.

Scans and logs third party insurance certificates received in preparation for evaluation.

Assists with management of a variety of contracts using contract data base including uploading contracts, sanction checks and other supporting documentation.

Creates and maintains hard copy files for various physician agreements.

As directed by the Associate General Counsel or the Chief Legal Officer, assists with the investigation of significant events and claims. 

As directed by the Associate General Counsel or the Chief Legal Officer, assists Corporate Compliance staff in the completion of projects, in preparing and organizing a wide array of documents, reports and compliance files, and performs duties as assigned.

As directed by the Associate General Counsel or the Chief Legal Officer, assists the Corporate Compliance staff with the investigation of potential compliance violations.

Maintains matter files, documents, and processes invoices in accordance with the applicable guidelines.

Coordinates scheduling of investigation interviews, depositions, witness interviews for staff with litigation attorneys or other case representatives.

Arranges appointments and meetings; coordinates meeting and agenda materials.

Organizes meetings including distributing materials, arranging for refreshments, and preparing nametags; records meeting minutes through the use of shorthand or rapid long hand to maintain an accurate record of decisions.

Maintains corporate meeting minutes and annual reports; manages meeting follow-up activities and updates.

Schedules appointments; maintains and updates daily calendars.

Answers telephones, routes callers, takes messages, and provides routine information to callers.

Operates a personal computer, word processing equipment and software, calculator, fax machine, copy machine or related office machinery in performing assigned duties.

Makes air travel arrangements directly or through travel agencies; makes arrangements for ground transportation and hotel reservations; documents travel expenses and accurately prepares appropriate expense reports.

Inventories and orders office supplies regularly.

Performs related duties as assigned.


EDUCATION:  Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school.  Bachelor’s degree preferred.

EXPERIENCE:  Three (3) years of related experience. Legal experience preferred.



  • Proficient in word processing, management of a contract database, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Power Point, Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Outlook.

  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to inquiries.

  • Ability to calculate figures and compute rate, ratio, and percent, and to draw and interpret bar graphs; ability to apply basic algebraic concepts.

  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

  • Knowledge of administrative and office management functions and support.

  • Ability to complete routine reports and correspondence.

  • Ability to listen and accurately interpret others' communication or instructions to take appropriate action.

  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
