Imaging Technologist I
This job description is for radiology technologists. Is able to produce diagnostic images utilizing general radiography and mobile radiography equipment in all areas of the hospital, which include but is not limited to: the main department, nursing units, O.R., and E.R. Is able to produce diagnostic images utilizing fluoroscopy. Administers contrast media and other medications under the direction of the radiologist.

EDUCATION: Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school.
EXPERIENCE: One (1) year of experience operating radiograph equipment preferred, but not required.
LICENSURE OR CERTIFICATION: Arizona Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT), American Registry of Radiology Technologists (ARRT), and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Additional certification will be required per department.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge of radiograph equipment and how to operate machinery.
Skill in operating and maintaining radiograph equipment.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to complete routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to listen and accurately interpret others' communication or instructions to take appropriate action; ability to speak effectively with customers.
Ability to calculate figures and compute rate, ratio, and percent Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
