Job Title:                                            Financial Analyst – Arizona Community Physicians

Reports to:                                        CEO

Job Summary

The Financial Analyst performs in depth analysis of systems data and reporting to identify trends, projections, budget considerations and proformas for expected outcomes.



·        Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or other closely related field

·        Financial analyzing experience with advanced knowledge of accounting and financial analysis principles

·        Critical thinking, attention to detail, analytical skills, math skills and communication skills

·        Experience and expertise using advanced Excel features and techniques

·        Aptitude for numbers and quantitative data

·        Knowledge and expertise in analysis and presentation of data

·        Ability to evaluate data integrity and quality to ensure accuracy

·        Comfortable working independently and in a team environment

·        Excellent judgment and ability to interact and communicate with a variety of people

·        Prefer experience working in the healthcare industry

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

·        Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to book of accounts, such as general ledger accounts, documenting business transactions

·        Monitor compliance with accounting principles and company procedures

·        Review, investigate, and correct errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents and reports

·        Provide advice and assistance and early warning of such problems as cost over-runs, excessive charges and potential penalties

·        Develop models to depict financial and related activities tailored for specific operations

·        Produce error-free accounting reports and present their results

·        Direct internal and external audits to ensure compliance

·        Support month-end and year-end close process

·        Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls

·        May be assigned special projects and additional duties

·        Will be cross trained in other duties
