Job Description
SUMMARY:
Technical leader responsible for architecting, building, and optimizing endpoint platforms—including workstations, printers, and mobile devices—using cloud-native tools, automation, and zero trust principles. Provides strategic direction and ownership of endpoint systems for hybrid and remote work, leveraging platforms like Microsoft 365, Active Directory, MECM, Intune, and Azure. Collaborates with IT, security, and business teams to integrate solutions, automate processes, and mentor junior engineers. Drives adoption of emerging technologies and ensures secure, reliable, and high-performing systems across the organization.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Lead Endpoint Lifecycle Management:
Architect, deploy, and oversee the full lifecycle of endpoint platforms. Own software release management, ensuring compatibility and seamless integration across platforms. Lead the implementation and adoption of new endpoint solutions, validating integration and providing technical support.
Technical Leadership & Mentorship:
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineering and services teams. Foster collaboration, professional development, and knowledge sharing. Represent endpoint engineering in strategic planning and technology roadmap discussions.
Automate and Optimize Operations:
Develop and maintain scripts and automation workflows to streamline system administration, deployments, and routine operational tasks. Leverage tools such as MECM, Intune, and Azure for efficient, scalable endpoint management.
Security and Compliance:
Architect and monitor endpoint security controls, including patch management, vulnerability remediation, and encryption. Ensure compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements. Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to address incidents and emerging threats.
Collaboration and Support:
Provide expert support to end users and stakeholders, troubleshooting and resolving complex endpoint issues. Communicate status updates and technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. Lead cross-functional teams to evaluate, recommend, and implement new technologies and upgrades.
Documentation and Knowledge Sharing:
Create and maintain clear, comprehensive documentation and knowledge articles for technical and end-user audiences. Lead training and ongoing system adoption through effective communication and resource development.
Continuous Improvement & Innovation:
Stay current with advancements in endpoint management, automation, and security. Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency, user experience, and technology adoption. Drive innovation and adoption of emerging technologies.
Adheres to TMCH organizational and department-specific safety, confidentiality, values, policies, and standards.
Performs related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
EXPERIENCE: Three (3) years working with Microsoft or UNIX based technologies, including MECM, Intune, Lansweeper, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and Azure.
LICENSURE OR CERTIFICATION: None required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
· Advanced expertise in designing, implementing, and optimizing data-driven solutions that support business productivity, collaboration, and operational efficiency.
· Able to architect and lead automation and integration across enterprise platforms using advanced scripting and modern protocols.
· Experience with enterprise collaboration platforms (such as Microsoft 365), identity and access management (Active Directory, Azure AD), and cloud services (Azure).
· Expert in architecting, deploying, and leading enterprise-wide endpoint management and patching strategies using platforms such as MECM, Intune, or similar solutions to ensure security, compliance, and operational excellence.
· Strong problem-solving skills and decision-making skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions and drive continuous improvement.
· Effective communicator, able to collaborate with cross-functional teams and present technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and influence organizational technology strategy.
· Mentor and coach junior engineers while developing clear, comprehensive documentation and knowledge resources to support learning, innovation, and system adoption.
