SUMMARY:

The Donor Relations & Events Manager serves as a front line fundraising relationship manager on our nine person development team. Reporting to the Chief Development Officer (CDO), this fulltime position is responsible for developing and implementing engagement and fundraising strategies to enhance and grow revenue and current and prospective donors. This position manages timely implementation and assessment of a comprehensive Donor Relations program. This includes donor reporting, recognition and engagement guidelines, events, donor signage, giving opportunity inventories, benefits, specialized stewardship plans, customized leadership correspondence, related stewardship communications and maintenance and execution of donor intent. The Donor Relations Manager & Events Manager leads the strategy for fundraising and execution for events and supports the Chief Development Officer (CDO) and Foundation team in meeting fundraising goals.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Designs, documents, and implements a systematic and integrated donor relations program. 

Establishes and manages information tracking processes regarding acknowledgement, recognition, and on-going communications to enhance their relationship with TMCH Foundation and increase the likelihood of continued contributions.

Partners with Major Gift colleagues to create and execute thoughtful strategies for prospects and donors, working independently and in collaboration with the CDO, foundation colleagues, other members of the development team, physicians, health care providers, senior leadership, and volunteers to create meaningful opportunities for individual donors and prospects to become closer to the hospital.

Interfaces and provides direction to other intra-department teams to help create a donor-centric culture.

Develops, maintains, and evaluates the effectiveness and efficiency of the donor relations programs.

Ensures that current and future protocols are documented and adhered to, including annual budget creation and tracking.

Collaborates with development communication stakeholders on all stewardship communication strategies and projects.

Ensures donors are recognized for their giving and provided with impactful communication and storytelling which is conveyed in a way that is understandable and exciting, identifying what is meaningful to donors and addressing the underlying motivations that fuel giving and inspire long-term support.

Manages TMCH Events; these include the annual Gala, Hook ‘n Slice; Radiothon, Dance Marathon, donor stewardship and cultivation events.

Responsible for overseeing event budgeting and cost center 981 while managing vendor relationships and coordination of event logistics.

In collaboration with the CDO, leads event sponsorship process and serves as the point person with sponsors to coordinate details of sponsorship including billing, recognition, website updates, and other logistics

Designs and orchestrates the Foundation’s Annual Fund including Employee Campaign for over 4000 hospital employees (bringing this campaign into a more engaging and exciting opportunity for each employee) and the United Way Campaign (last year raised close to $100,000).

Annual Fund campaign includes quarterly campaign letters for the foundation. This includes coordinating timelines, writing copies of letters, providing art and photographs and approving final artwork with the mail house. ($ This responsibility will require collaborating with the Executive Offices to ensure success.

Collaborate and support leaders of Eide Bailey LLC and the TMC Mega Raffle teams for media coverage. Coordinating with Communications team internally to screen content, elevating the 10-year anniversary celebrations, connecting with over 54,000 individuals in our community, participating in hospital campaigns and promotions, attending meetings with hands on involvement, press announcements, interviews with hospital staff, assist in gaining prizes and raising $2M.

Coordinating fundraising sevents at Major Donor’s homes including registration, soliciting, engagement, cultivation and stewardship.

Assists the CDO in meeting fundraising goals through meeting coordination and management, preparation of reports and event sponsorship proposals.
Attends regular meetings and provide input and feedback as warranted and appropriate.

Maintains attention to detail as well as grasp the big picture, while advancing individual relationships along the continuum of donor activity.

Demonstrates TMCH Foundation’s core values customers, employees, and visitors; and provided quality service in the performance of work assignments and duties.

Performs other duties as assigned or requested.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION:  Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience. 

EXPERIENCEThree (3) to five (5) years’ experience in fundraising or related field at a large non-profit institution. Progressive experience and demonstrable success in fundraising required.
