Director Business Intelligence Analytics
The Director of BI/Analytics is a strategic and critical leadership role responsible for supporting and enhancing on-going analytics to enable core and emerging capabilities across clinical, performance, hospital operations, and corporate functions. This role will lead the transformation of Analytics in the changing business, digital and remote engagement, Big Data, and emerging technology environment with increasing number of diverse data sources, vendors, and stakeholders. The Director of BI/Analytics will play a key part in developing and delivering the data strategy and operational support for strategic capabilities and transformational initiatives in the areas of digital transformation (including ML (Machine Learning) and AI (Artificial intelligence)). This leader will mentor the Analytics team members to deliver actionable results to stakeholders across the organization.
Collaborate closely with key stakeholders to assess opportunities and develop data driven solutions
Responsible for driving cultural change and promoting data-driven decision making and investment planning
Provides management visibility into data-driven insights that inform business’s strategic direction and KPI’s
Translate business objectives into data and analytics solutions and, translate results into clinical and business insights using appropriate data engineering and data science applications
Partner closely with stakeholders and IT teams to support development of innovative analytics solutions and products
Provide thought leadership in state-of-the-art machine learning techniques
Develop and deploy industry-leading machine learning models, aimed at problems across various organization functions.
Help develop advanced analytics and identify areas of new opportunity for data science and analytics
Ensure standards and guidelines are being used by team to develop re-usable common frameworks, model and components that address repeatable tasks and problem/data sets in specific industries or business functions
Share learnings and drive adoption of best demonstrated practices with rest of the analytics team about technical developments in the rapidly evolving data science field, collaborate with the open-source community, and work together to create a great working environment that attracts other great data scientists
Develop relationships with external data and analytics vendors and interact as needed
Keep abreast of new and current data science techniques and technologies
Act as an ambassador and coach towards analytics team to raise their capabilities and ensure that our work is successfully deployed

Performs related duties as assigned.
EDUCATION: Masters or equivalent certification in a quantitative discipline such as Computer Science, Engineering, Econometrics, Statistics or Information Sciences such as business analytics or informatics
EXPERIENCE: Eight (8) years of system application maintenance experience. Three (3) years of supervisory or management experience. Healthcare experience preferable. Oncology experience (biopharma, academia, or consultancy) preferred but not required.
