SUMMARY:
The Compensation Analyst Sr assists in developing, designing, implementing and administering compensation programs, practices, and policies to attract and retain top talent. Analyzes, evaluates and prepares recommendations to maintain a competitive and cost effective position in the labor market in which we operate. Ensures compliance with applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations. Provides direction and training to less experienced Compensation Analysts.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Reviews and analyzes job descriptions and pay structures to ensure that they are current, equitable, competitive, and meet legal compliance; performs desk audits as necessary.
Designs, prioritizes and implements compensation programs and policies that support TMCs compensation strategy, career paths and succession planning.
Conducts and participates in compensation surveys; analyzes survey data to determine if internal pay ranges are equitable, market competitive and aligned with the company compensation strategy.
Conducts special compensation studies for specific functional areas; analyzes market trends, completes statistical studies and develops recommendations and action plans designed to attract, retain, and reward employees.
Designs performance-based pay programs that align with overall strategic goals of the company and oversees the execution of those programs; may include merit incentives, management incentives and department-specific programs.
Create and maintain experience-ladders for positions to ensure efficient, equitable pay decisions. Identify and propose processes that increase the efficiency of other compensation functions.
Audits compensation data and practices to ensure it is up-to-date, accurate, and available.
Assists with the preparation of the compensation budget, including survey costs and market adjustment allotments for the upcoming year.
Prepares and delivers professional presentations and trainings on a variety of issues using graphic materials and communication media and style appropriate to the audience.
Adheres to and supports team members in exhibiting TMCH values of integrity, community, compassion, and dedication.
Performs related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from an accredited college or university; Master’s preferred.
EXPERIENCE: Four (4) years of compensation experience, preferably in health care or other related industry.
LICENSURE OR CERTIFICATION: CCP Certification preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Hands-on knowledge of market pricing and job evaluation techniques.
Ability to use and interpret market data relating to compensation and total rewards.
Analytical and mathematical skills sufficient to solve compensation issues using quantitative and qualitative analysis.
Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel (formulas, pivot tables).
Strong interpersonal skills; ability to interact with all levels of management.
Skill in project management, including the ability to follow process and meet deadlines.
Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining strong attention to detail and the highest level of accuracy.
Knowledge of human resource laws relevant to compensation.
Adaptability and enthusiasm to work in an environment that supports new ideas and change.
Ability to communication effectively both orally and in writing.
