Job Description
SUMMARY:
Responsible for the daily over site of specific TMC outreach programs including but not limited to Safe Kids Tucson, Girls on the Run Tucson, community wellness programs, TMC based school outreach, senior programs, and select community outreach programs. Serves as TMC liaison to community-based coalitions.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Performs all related duties as coalition coordinator for Safe Kids Tucson and/or Girls on the Run Tucson.
Coordinates TMC based school outreach programs, wellness or seniors programs.
Prepares or assists in grant writing.
Assists with Community Outreach program development.
Serves as liaison to Children’s Services, Wellness or Seniors focused coalitions.
Serves as liaison to community agencies, local and state policy makers, and child and/or wellness focused coalitions.
Develops and maintains strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Initiates learning of new products, technologies or information; “go-to” person when others have questions.
Exhibits strong initiative; identifies and takes action to resolve barriers to quality, workflow and customer satisfaction.
May coordinate or assist in the coordination of hospital wide recognition events.
Performs advanced, diversified, and confidential administrative duties requiring broad and comprehensive experience, skill, and knowledge of organization policies and practices for Community Affairs, Community Outreach, and Communications.
Adheres to TMC organizational and department-specific safety, confidentiality, values, policies and standards.
Performs related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION: High School Diploma or equivalent; preferred Bachelor’s degree.
EXPERIENCE: One (1) year of experience with Children’s, Seniors, Wellness programming and Community Outreach.
LICENSURE OR CERTIFICATION: Child Passenger Safety technician certification, preferred. Senior Services: Fundamentals of Gerontology certification, preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Knowledge of office management and administrative functions.
- Skill in organizing work to ensure all deadlines are met.
- Skill in languages bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
- Ability to coordinate multiple projects, effectively present information, and respond to inquiries from the general public.
- Strong ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to interpret a variety of data and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Ability to prepare detailed written reports, business correspondence, and spreadsheets..
