The BI Sr. Applications System Developer provides software development expertise in the deployment, integration, and support of advanced information systems. This position also programs, debugs, documents, and performs structured testing. For this position, the ability to work with analyst, customers and end users across the enterprise is essential; as the position requires dealing directly with customers to understand their needs, develop/review specs, and devise an appropriate solution.  Familiarity with, or experience in, the Healthcare Industry is desirable. You will be required to write complex, efficient SQL code against very large databases.  Development experience and the ability to maintain existing code is strongly desired.  Epic Clarity and/or Universe design experience is a huge plus.  Experience with data warehousing and additional BI tools such as Qlik Sense is also a plus.


Monitors use of supplies and equipment and identifies usage inconsistent with hospital policy.

Writes programs using the most appropriate languages for the specific feature or system.

Develops design and analysis specifications.

Performs business analysis, data acquisition and access analysis and design, DBMS optimization, recovery strategy and load strategy design, and implementation.

Provides functional-level support to business units in the use of an advanced ERP system and other assigned applications, which involves facilitation, planning, requirements analysis and design, system configuration, troubleshooting, training, and testing

Performs quality assurance reviews for analysis, programming, or test plans.

Designs and implements monitoring tools for information technology systems using standard methodologies.

Identifies, debugs, and remedies problems under stressful conditions and/or complex circumstances.

Develops training materials and provides customer training for systems

Provides support in an on-call rotation.

Assists in the development and implementation of maintenance plans for systems.

Designs and implements monitoring tools for complex systems using standard methodologies.

Identifies TMC core business processes.

Monitors progress against completed Statements of Work (SOW), Service Level Agreements (SLA) or project plans.

Adheres to and supports team members in exhibiting TMCH values of integrity, community, compassion, and dedication. 

Adheres to TMC organizational and department-specific safety, confidentiality, values, policies and standards.

Performs related duties as assigned.


EDUCATION:  Bachelor's degree, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.

EXPERIENCE:  Three (3) years of related experience. Additional experience may be substituted for education requirement on a year-for-year basis.

  • Ability to prepare written reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.

  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to inquiries or complaints from employees, patients and/or their representatives, and the general public.

  • Ability to calculate figures and compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs; ability to apply basic algebraic concepts.

  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
